ITW Food Equipment Group To Bring New Booth Experience To The NAFEM Show 2023

TROY, Ohio (January 17, 2023) – The ITW Food Equipment Group is pleased to announce it will welcome institutional, restaurant and retail foodservice professionals to a new booth experience at The NAFEM Show 2023 in Orlando, Fla., February 1 to 3. This will be the first time the group, consisting of Hobart, Baxter, Traulsen and Vulcan, will share one booth (2812) to showcase essential equipment at the core of every kitchen.

“We’re excited to showcase a live kitchen where we’ll be holding demonstrations and cooking delicious entrees throughout the show,” said Todd Blair, director of marketing for ITW Food Equipment Group. “We’ve also created foodservice and food retail environments within the booth where visitors can find all the core equipment relevant to their business. Whether it’s food prep, refrigeration, cooking or dishwashing equipment, our aim is to provide visitors with the essential equipment and service support they need to be successful.”

The new booth consists of five key focus areas:

  • Kitchen Productivity: This space incorporates solutions essential to operating a kitchen as efficiently as possible, including Hobart food prep equipment and Traulsen refrigeration, along with Vulcan and Baxter cooking equipment.
  • Commercial Dishwashing: Here, Hobart will feature a variety of dish machines with exclusive technologies that deliver best-in-class wash performance, labor savings, operating efficiency and lifetime value.
  • Retail Solutions: Hobart slicers, mixers and weigh wrap solutions that deliver precision and quality for retail bakeries and delis will be on display here. Also included will be Traulsen refrigerators and blast chillers; Baxter rack ovens; and Vulcan fryers, steamers, braising pans and combi ovens.
  • Leading Innovation: Here the brands will exhibit the latest technologies designed to support quality and productivity in commercial, non-commercial and retail foodservice kitchens.
  • Service and Parts: Hobart Service representatives will be available to answer questions regarding equipment service plans, installation, OEM parts and more.

There will also be equipment of special interest from the ITW Food Equipment Group brands at the booth.

Hobart Food Prep Equipment will showcase its Legacy+® maximum heavy-duty mixer line with the exclusive VFDAdvantage PLUS System to drive more power to the bowl. Also shown will be the new FP300i all-stainless steel food processor that can process up to 88 pounds of fruits and vegetables per minute.

Hobart Commercial Dishwashers will display its full portfolio of dish machines featuring advanced technologies that save time and money. These include Automatic Soil Removal, which reduces pre-scraping labor by 20% and wash-water changes by 50%, and Two-Level Washing, which doubles racks per hour to increase capacity and wash more ware in less time.

Hobart Weigh Wrap Equipment includes the HTi-7ELH5 scale with 7-inch customer display and a linerless label cassette that eliminates backing paper and allows dynamic label sizing. The FreshServe self-service fully-integrated scale, stand and printer will also be on display, plus the FreshXpress retail omni-channel order management software. This software allows online and kiosk orders to be deployed directly to the scale for operators to see immediately, so there is less wait time at the deli or meat counter.

Traulsen will showcase its TF Flex Drawer undercounter refrigerator/freezer that allows drawer temperature to be changed from cooling to freezing at the touch of a button. Each drawer can operate at a different temperature setting.

The Vulcan Culinary Team will perform live cooking demos throughout the show on a variety of equipment from the ITW Food Equipment Group portfolio. Vulcan will feature their upcoming value-priced, easy-to-use, programmable, self-cleaning and stackable VCP combi oven. Also in the booth will be the Vulcan TCM combi oven with its patented ABC interface that auto-sets optimal humidity based on temperature and time; the PowerFry3™ high-efficiency gas fryer with its patented ThreePass™ Heat Transfer System that distributes heat uniformly within the cooking oil for faster recovery; and additional selections from their best-in-class, top-quality, energy-efficient portfolio.

Baxter will display its OV520G2 energy-efficient double-rack gas oven, which provides operational history, operator training animations and FAQs. The new OV320G mini rack oven, designed with simple, programmable Smart Touch control panel for easy operations, will also be at the booth.

In addition to these brands, IBEX will be providing live demos of the all-new IBEX rapid cook oven that uses Radio Frequency (RF) for consistent heating—with no water, hood or drain required. Centerline™ by Hobart and Traulsen products of interest to restaurant owners include mixers, slicers, refrigerators, prep tables and blast chillers, along with door-type and undercounter dishwashers.
